Welcome to the 21st Asian Congress of Surgery (ACS) website.
It is my pleasure to announce that the 21st meeting of the Asian Congress of Surgery (ACS) will be held at the Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo, Japan. The previous meeting in Japan was held in 1991. We are greatly honored to manage this valuable meeting in Department of Digestive Surgery, Nihon University School of Medicine.
The theme of the upcoming ACS is, “Stay Meticulous! Stay Innovative!” I always consider my two highest priorities to be meticulousness, and to achieve careful surgical techniques, and innovation, entailing the development of new techniques and findings.
The 21st ACS will be held in conjunction with the 79th Annual Congress of Japan Surgical Association (JSA). The clinical standpoint of ACS and the JSA is very close but we have differences in surgical techniques and treatment among the countries. The cross-talk sessions between ACS and JSA across various fields of clinical surgery are sure to provide an excellent opportunity to consider new perspectives. I believe this joint meeting will be inspiring not only to younger surgeons but also to senior specialists.
Reserve 22 to 23 November 2017 in your schedule to indulge yourself in a broad scope of surgical issues among various surgical specialists. The autumn is one of the lovely seasons in Japan. We are looking forward to seeing you in Tokyo soon!
