On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to announce the 6th International Conference on Biology and Pathobiology of KLF/Sp Transcription Factors (KLF-2018) to be held Oct 28-31, 2018 in Kyoto, Japan at the Kyoto Garden Palace Hotel.

The International KLF meeting started in 2008 in Tokyo and has played an important role to allow exchange of information on cutting-edge research on KLF/Sp transcription factors as well as to promote formation of a community of inter-disciplinary scientists in this research field. The 2018 meeting will take place in Kyoto to attract international researchers including Asia. At the opening ceremony of the meeting on October 28th, the distinguished Nobel laureate, Prof Shinya Yamanaka (renowned for his discovery of the iPS cell) of Kyoto University, will be giving a special lecture.

The end of October is a beautiful season to visit Japan with the Autumn foliage. Kyoto is a city full of traditional Japanese culture. I hope you will have fruitful scientific discussions and also enjoy your stay in Kyoto.
