I am pleased to announce that we will hold RNA 2011, the 16th Annual Meeting of the RNA Society, in conjunction with the 13th Annual Meeting of the RNA Society of Japan, in Kyoto, Japan from June 14th to June 18th, 2011.

The RNA Society was established in 1993 to facilitate sharing and dissemination of experimental results and emerging concepts in RNA research. It is an interdisciplinary, cohesive intellectual home for those interested in all aspects of RNA Science. The Annual Meeting of the RNA Society is the premiere meeting for open discussion of the most recent advances in RNA science, methodology, technology, and applications. The Meeting includes oral and poster presentations in all areas of RNA structure, function, biology and chemistry. The annual meetings provide unique opportunities for both young and prominent scientists from industry and academia to meet and discuss current, i.e., most typically yet-to-be published methods, data and concepts. In fact, the collegial atmosphere of the annual meetings allows for discussions and interactions that, in our experience, seldom occur elsewhere. This conference usually attracts more than 1,200 participants from around the world, providing a great opportunity for all members of the world-wide RNA community to come together to share ideas and methods, to renew old collaborations and to establish new ones. Participating as a sponsor provides your company with the opportunity to demonstrate and/or advertise your products and services to this targeted and otherwise hard to reach market.

I have included here a detailed Sponsorship Prospectus. There are several opportunities for your company to contribute to RNA 2011, including, for example, exhibiting and/or advertising in the meeting abstract book and on the web site. Unfortunately, because of the changes in the original program, the slots for the Luncheon Seminar are already filled. You will find the due dates for applications in the prospectus; however, should your company need more time to make a final decision about participation, please contact the congress secretariat at the address noted below.
