The Hakutsuru Brewery was established in 1743 and this wooden structure has been restored as a museum. It is in this old brewery that the traditional methods for sake brewing unfold and the spirit of old Japan come alive right before your eyes. The centuries-old method of sake brewing is recreated here with life-like models and real tools just as they were in the olden days.
14:30 Nunobiki Herb Garden
Ride an aerial cableway up and down Nunobiki Hearb Garden for a sweeping view of celebrated Kobe city. The 40-acre Nunobiki Herb Garden is located in Nunobiki Park, which is nestled in the rich natural setting of the Rokko Mountains. The garden features over 75,000 herbs and 150 varieties, plus a greenhouse, restaurant, cafe, museums, exhibits, and gift shops.

Japanese-style garden, and important cultural properties e.g. former Hassam House, former Kodera Barn, Boat House. Azalea and Chrysanthemum Exhibition worth seeing.

One of the largest botanical gardens in Japan. 1,200 kinds of trees from Japan and all over the world. Hydrangeas in early summer, and the fall colors are excellent.

12:30-14:00 Arima Hot Spring (Lunch)
One of the oldest hot spring resorts in Japan.
14:15-15:30 Taiko No Yudonokan
A part of the bath tab of “Yuyama Palace”, which was built under Hideyoshi Taiko’s order, the remnants of the garden, roofing tiles and tea sets were rediscovered 400 years later behind the Gokurakuji temple when it was crushed by the disaster occurred in January 1995. Taiko-no Yudonokan is an archives center introducing the history and culture of Arima Hot Spring beloved by Hideyoshi Taiko as well as the remnants of the bath tab and excavated articles.

10:00-12:30 Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Shrine
Todaiji-Temple was founded by the Emperor Shomu (701 A.D.-756 A.D.). The construction of the giant Buddha, a huge project which required a lot of funds and manpower, was completed in 752 A.D. After being repeatedly burnt down, its buildings were arranged in the current layout in the middle of the Edo-era (1603-1867). On the huge site, there are buildings designated as national treasures, such as the Nandaimon, Daibutsuden, Shoro, Sangatsudo, Nigatsudo, and Tegaimon.
