Dear Colleagues

We are proud and pleased to invite you to the 15th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2014) and are delighted to announce that, in 2014, the AOCR 2014 will be held incorporating the 50th Autumn Assembly of Japan Radiological Society (JRS), with great cooperation by the board members of the JRS and Prof. Shozo Hirota, President of the 50th Autumn Assembly of JRS. We expect the significant scientific exchanges during the meeting will be enlightening, informative and stimulating for all the members of the Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR) and JRS.

AOSR was founded in 1969 and it nowadays integrates nearly more than 23 member societies, which consist of 12,000 members in total. We sincerely feel honored and privileged to hold the AOCR 2014 in Kobe, which will be our second great opportunity, since we had the AOCR 1998 in Kobe organized by the late Professor, Hitoshi Katayama.

Our theme of “Borderless Alliance -Education and Friendship-” reflects the process through education for young radiologists towards sharing our clinical experience and knowledge. In order to build an ideal borderless alliance, the role of education is of the upmost importance. The AOCR 2014 will encourage membership and foster active participation of early career investigators to select Best Scientific Presentation and Best Scientific Exhibition Awards and also will offer scholarships to support travel expenses for 100 overseas applicants.

The congress venue will be the Kobe Convention Center and the Kobe Portopia Hotel. They are located in the Kobe Bay area which is famous for a beautiful night view. Kobe is also famous as a gourmet town with a flourishing western food culture, including Kobe Beef. The congress attendees will be able to enjoy not only the scientific program but also all of the charms our city offers. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Kobe and we are committed to preparing the exciting scientific and cultural programs for all participants.

We appreciate your ongoing participation and support to the AOCR 2014.
