Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction Revisited

Chairperson: Satoshi Yasuda (National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center)
The coronary microvasculature plays a key role in determining and modulating coronary blood flow across the spectrum of myocardial demand. However, probably due to inability to visualize the anatomy of an extensive microvascular bed and its complicated functional pathways, the clinical importance of coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) is not fully appreciated. This session would highlight particular entity of CMD and provide an update on the clinical relevance in different clinical settings and also the implications for therapy.
