Chairpersons: Naoyuki Hasebe (Asahikawa Medical University)
Ryuichi Morishita (Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine)
Hypertension treatment has been advanced from single treatment with various anti-hypertensive drugs to combination tablets, in order to consider the adherence of anti-hypertensive drugs. In addition, the research focused on the quality of anti-hypertensive treatment such as blood pressure lowering pattern as well as the variability, while the targeted blood pressure level is still important. To consider over 10 years near future, it is more desirable to develop the more aggressive preventive medicine, the management of the prognosis using ICT, and longer-term anti-hypertensive treatment. Indeed, renal denervation as well as vaccine strategy have been tested toward to clinical application. In this symposium, in order to image future medicine in hypertension treatment, the abstracts related to 1) the preventive medicine such as vaccine and functional food, 2) diagnosis and management regarding home blood pressure, variability and ICT monitoring, and 3) the innovative treatment strategy related to new anti-hypertensive drugs as well device are welcome. Chairman would like to discuss the future medicine in hypertension treatment in this symposium.
