Instruction for Oral Presentation

Presentation Equipment

  • Speaker's Check-In Desk and all meeting rooms will be equipped with Windows.
  • Only PowerPoint is available.
  • If your presentation by Macintosh and/or contains video files, you are kindly requested to bring your own laptop. We also recommend that the videos are made in a WMV format which can be played with Windows Media Player 10.
  • Presentations can only be given using data stored on a USB flash memory drive or CD-R.
  • Using their own laptop PC is available.
  • MO, FD, ZIP, DVD cannot be accepted.

Laptop Users

  • Please make sure to bring your own AC adaptor, auxiliary output adaptor (D-sub 15 pin) and connector.
  • Please cancel screensaver and the power saving setting in advance.
  • Be sure to bring a backup copy of your presentation with you to the conference venue.

Submitting Your Presentations

  • Checking in at the PC Preview Desk is the most important step you will have to take to ensure a successful presentation. All oral presenters are required to check in at the PC Preview Desk, preferably 1 hour before the session starts.
  • The PC preview desks are located at
    • For the sessions at the Room 1 and Room 2
      Osaka International Convention Center
      Foyer on 5th floor
    • For the sessions at the Room 3-Room 7, Room 22-Room 27
      Room 1010, 10th floor
    • For the sessions at the Room 8-Room 16
      Rihga Royal Hotel
      Room TSUTA, 2nd floor, Tower Wing
    • For the sessions at the Room 17-21
      Hotel NCB
      Room KATSURA, 3rd floor
  • At the PC Preview Desk, please make sure all fonts, images, and animations appear as expected and that all audio and video clips are working properly.
  • After the conference, we delete any copies of your presentation data file on conference PC.

At the Session Room

  • Please arrive at the session room at least 20 minutes before the session begins and take a seat reserved for session presenters. And please inform the PC technician of your arrival.
  • A mouse and a keypad will be available on the podium table for your use during your presentation.
  • A lectern and a microphone will be provided in the lecture room. Please speak directly into the microphone in a normal voice and do not hand the microphone while speaking. Each presentation is allotted a certain length of time slot, including questions and answers. Please remember to observe and not exceed your allotted time.
