Greetings for the 4th Scientific Meeting of the Japan-Hungary Surgical Society
Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure and honor to host the 4th Scientific Meeting of the Japan-Hungary Surgical Society in Yokohama, Japan. It has been ten years since the First Scientific Meeting of the Japan-Hungary Surgical Society was held in Budapest, Hungary in September 2001 under the wonderful leadership of Professor Josef Sandor. After its success, we have deepened scientific exchanges and warm friendship between Japanese and Hungarian surgeons through the second meeting held in Tokyo, Japan in 2006 and the third meeting returned in Budapest, Hungary in 2008.
We have set the theme of this meeting as "Act Now for the Future Progress of Advanced Surgery" and are expecting to have active exchange of views especially by younger researchers from Japan and Hungary. Through this meeting, we sincerely hope that clinician and researchers from both countries will have the opportunity to deepen their relationship and acquire more information, and then convey the advanced and effective findings from their researches in surgery.
Yokohama, the host city of the 4th meeting is one of the first treaty ports in Japan which has just celebrated its 150th anniversary of the opening of the port. Some part of the city was built by foreigners and it retains that character today. As such, it offers a fascinating blend of traditional Japan and international flavor, giving it a robust, rich atmosphere found in few other places.
We are very much confident that you will have a wonderful and memorable stay with not only inspiring scientific programs but also enjoyable social activities and excursions we are planning. Lastly I would like to offer my sincere appreciation for your generous support and cooperation.
