Please note that only computer presentations will be possible in your session. We regret that no slides or videos may be used. To prepare for your presentation, you are asked to follow the instructions below.


PC Presentation Preparation and Registration
 
  1) Compatible personal computers
    * Windows: You may use your own computer or USB storage.
* Macintosh: You may use your own computer or USB storage.
     
  2) Video Out
    If you bring your own computer, please make sure it is equipped with
DSub15 analog video-out, or bring a compatible adaptor yourself.

  3) Animation and sound
    Please make sure if the animation and the sound correctly function either on Windows Media Player, Real Player, or Quick Time Player, if you bring the presentation data on USB storage.
     
  4) Instructions for presenters bringing PC media
   

<Data preparation>
PCs with Windows XP and PowerPoint 2007 or Macintosh OS X and Powerpoint 2004 will be used. (Japanese version)
Please prepare your presentation data under the following conditions.

* OS: Windows 2000 - Windows XP, Mac OS X
* Applications: PowerPoint 2000 (Windows) - PowerPoint 2007
PowerPoint X (Macintosh) - Powerpoint 2004

Please check that all the data appears on the screen properly, especially if you originally created the file in a Macintosh and converted to the Windows format. It is often the case that there are problems in layout when using such data.

<Fonts>
The following fonts may be used:
Times New Roman, Arial, Arial Black, Arial Narrow, Century, Century Gothic, Courier New, and Georgia

<Data submission>
* Media types: Please save your data on USB storage. Please do not save any other data in the media. Also, please attach a label indicating your presentation date, venue, name, affiliation and number of your abstract, “EO-XX” to the media.
* You may not use MO, ZIP, CD-R or DVD.

<Data registration and return>
You should register your data at the PC preview center.

Please make sure to register your data at the PC preview center at least 60 minutes prior to your presentation. If your presentation is scheduled before 10:00 , it is recommended that you register your data in the previous day.

If you bring your own computer for your presentation, please bring the computer directly to operator’s desk in each room (front left) after you checked the data at the preview center. Soon after your presentation, your computer will be returned at the operator’s desk, too.

Presentation Time
   
  1) Invited lectures
    The presentation time is 55 minutes (45 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion).
     
  2) English Oral sessions
    The presentation time is 12 minutes (8 minutes for presentation and 4 minutes for discussion).
Green light will turn on 1 minute before, and red light will turn on at the end of presentation and discussion time.
