It is also possible to participate in The 28th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
PET Nuclear Medicine Workshop (October 24 (Fri.)14:30-16:30) can be joined in free of charge.
  • There is no prior- registration. Please fill-out the registration form and bring it to the registration desk on the day of the meeting.
  • A name card will be issued in exchange to your registration form. Please write in your name and affiliation, and always wear your name card at the venue. The name card also acts as a receipt, so please keep it safely. Please note that name cards will not be reissued.
  • The participation fee is 2,000 yen for students (excluding graduate students). Please show your student ID at General Information of the Registration Desk.
Abstract (Nuclear Medicine 2008, vol. 45, no.3)
The abstract for the meeting will be sent to members beforehand. Please bring it with you to the meeting. It can also be bought at the venue on the day for 1,800 yen.
Message-posting Service
  • There will be no paging service for any participants during the meeting.
  • There will be a bulletin board near the registration desk to post any messages if you need to get in touch with someone.

  • Luncheon Seminars organized by equipment/pharmaceutical manufacturers are to be held. Please note that entrance to these seminars will be on a first-come basis.
  • Please prohibit from smoking in all areas except smoking areas.
  • Please refrain from using mobile phones/pagers or any other electric appliances with alarms or beeping sound inside the conference room.
  • Please note that taking of photographs or video recordings inside the venue is prohibited due to the protection of the copyright.
  • Wireless LAN can be used in the lobby of the 1F-3F of the International Conference center, and the resting space of the International exhibition Center Hall 7.
Information for presenters and chairpersons
For Oral Session Presenters
  • The total time for one presentation will be 10 minutes. 7 minutes for the oral sessions and 3 minutes for Q & As. There is no limit for the number of slides used. However, please make sure to keep your time limit.
  • All presentations must be done using a PC. Please note that there will be no slide equipment or OHP prepared.
  • Only "Microsoft Windows" can be accepted. Please note that no data from Macintosh can be accepted.
  • Personal computers installed with Windows XP・Vista and PowerPoint 2003・2007 will be used at the meeting. The monitor size of the PC is 1024×768.
  • Please operate the power point slides yourself during the presentation.

1.Data Preparation for presentation

1) Please prepare your presentation data with PowerPoint 2003 or 2007 on Windows XP or Vista, and bring your data stored in a USB or CD-R storage device. You can also bring in your own PC.
2) For any data prepared with prior OS such as Windows 2000, please check that all data appear on the screen with no defects in Windows XP/Vista environment.
3) To avoid problems such as improperly positioned characters and paragraphs, unreadable characters, and missing characters, please try to use the following fonts.
Japanese: MS Gothic, MSP Gothic, MS Mincho, and MSP Mincho
English: Century, Century Gothic, Arial, Times New Roman
4) Please name the file as :
"Presentation no._presenter name.ppt" (If Windows2007, pptx).
(Eg. M1ⅣB7_Happyo Taro.ppt)
5) If using moving images, please note the following. Please also bring in your own PC for back up and in case of any trouble.
Please make sure the data is produced in a format playable with Windows XP/Vista and Windows Media Player 9 initial format.
Data size: under 512MB
File Extension: wmv, avi, or mpg. (wmv is recommended.)
Place all the presentation data (including the animation) in the same folder. Please check the animation with Windows XP/Vista and PowerPoint 2003/2007 on a different PC to that you made the data from, and bring your data stored in a USB or CD-R storage device.

2.Submission of Data

1) Please make sure you register your data (USB storage devices or CD-R) or your laptop at the Preview Center at least one hour prior to your presentation. Please refrain from bringing in your own laptop to the presentation room.
2) The PC preview center is likely to be crowded in the morning during the conference. If your presentation is scheduled in the morning, it is recommended that you register your data at the following times:
  • October 24 (Fri.) 15:00-18:00
  • October 25 (Sat.) 13:00-18:00
3) Please come to the PC Preview Center to test the connection and view your file. Please note that you cannot correct any data at the preview center. If you are bringing in your own laptop, please make sure that it can be connected with 15-pin DSub connectors which the organizer will provide. Please bring an auxiliary adaptor if conversion is needed. In addition, please make sure you bring your own AC adaptor.
* ELECTRICITY
Japanese electricity is supplied at 100 volts and 50 or 60Hz.
note1 : [USB storage device]Please make sure it is viewable from Windows XP/Vista.
note2 : [CD-R]Only CD-R is acceptable. No CD-R/W or DVD can be accepted.
Please make sure to use the latest antivirus software.
Please note the organizer will only provide a terminal connectable to 15-pin DSub connector. (as below)
VGA
Especially for models such as SONY VAIO Note C1, SR, GT, U, an auxiliary adapter for conversion is needed for output. Please do not forget to bring it with you.
For Poster Presenters
Please prepare and remove the posters at the following times.
Preparation: October 24 (Fri.) 13:00-17:00
Removal: October 26 (Sun.) 15:00-17:00
Please note that any posters remaining after 17:00 of October 26th will be discarded by the secretariat.
For each speaker, the allocated time of the speech will be 4 minutes, followed by 3 minutes discussion. There is not much time, so please use the time mainly for discussion.

About the Posters

1) The session number will be determined by the secretariat beforehand.
2) Please prepare a heading indicating the title, name(s) of the presenter(s), and affiliation with a size of 100 cm (width) x 13.5cm (length).
3) The exhibition board consists of two panels of 116cm (width) x 90cm (length). Please prepare the poster to fit this size.
4) The panel is made of metal, and a special type of adhesive tape will be used to install the posters. Please drop in at the Poster registration desk to receive the tape. Please refrain from using other materials such as pins/ other sorts of adhesive tape.

  • All presentations must be PC presentations. For details, please refer to Data preparation and Presentation, and Submission of data in the previous section.
  • Please follow the chairperson's instructions concerning the way the session will be run throughout the presentation and discussion.
For Chairpersons of Lectures, Oral Sessions etc
  • Please be seated in the "Next chairperson's seat" at the front of the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your session.
  • All chairpersons are in charge of the time keeping of presentations. Any discussions are welcome, but please ensure that all sessions start on time and finish punctually as scheduled.
For Chairpersons of Poster Sessions
  • Please come to the chairpersons' reception desk which is located in front of the Exhibition Hall, at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your session.
  • All chairpersons are in charge of the time keeping of the presentations. Any discussions are welcome, but please ensure that all sessions start on time and finish punctually as scheduled.
