It is our distinct pleasure to inform you that the 31st Annual Meeting of Japan Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery (JSHBPS 2019) will be held from June 13 to 15, 2019 in Takamatsu city, Kagawa, Japan. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we have the great pleasure and honor to invite you to JSHBPS 2019.

JSHBPS 2019 will provide a great opportunity to discuss the recent important issues and exchange the latest information on HBP surgery. A large number of HBP surgeons, researchers and delegates will gather and share their valuable academic achievements and most recent knowledge.

Takamatsu city is known as the gateway to the very charming Shikoku Island. The conference venue is next to JR Takamatsu station. It takes 60 minutes from JR Okayama station. You could enjoy beautiful sights of Seto Inland Sea on the way coming by JR train. And, it is only 30 minutes by a shuttle bus from Takamatsu Airport. The access from Haneda Tokyo International Airport is very convenient. Takamatsu airport also has direct international flights from Asian metropolises including Incheon, Shanghai, Taipei, and Hong Kong.

In 2019, we have the 4th Setouchi Triennale held in 12 islands on Seto Inland Sea that lasts almost throughout the year. These islands are easily accessible from Takamatsu port nearby to enjoy the contemporary arts and architectures, those combined with the traditional local culture, and international exchange with Asian artists. Takamatsu city is very famous for Japanese traditional Udon noodle. Fresh fishes from Seto Inland Sea, Kagawa-original spicy chicken, and great Sake brewed in Kagawa are also enjoyable.

We look forward to welcoming numerous domestic and oversea participants to Takamatsu city and the congress will offer a significant opportunity to gain professional experience and knowledge as well as occasions for socializing with fellow colleagues and friends in a beautiful city and country.
