Qualifications

Abstract format

Use "Abstract Submission Form" as a template to prepare the abstract.

• Must be in English
• Title should be in BOLD CAPITAL letters and within 250 characters (NOT words)
• First name, middle initial and family name should be indicated for each author
• Use superscript numbers (i.e. Michael White1) to indicate author's affiliation
• Underline the presenting author
• Abstract body should be within 1350 characters (NOT words)
• Title, authors, affiliation and abstract body should be single spaced and left justified
• Paragraph breaks between title, author(s) & institute, and abstract body
• Enter Abstract Classification Numbers and Key Word Numbers.
• Conflict of Interest(COI)
  Declare the presenting author's COI status of the previous year before abstract submission.
  Present either slide below at the top of your presentation or on the second slide.
• "Template 1: COI Disclosure-I have no potential COI to disclose."
• "Template 2: COI Disclosure-I have potential COI to disclose."

Presentation style

Choose between oral and poster presentation at the time of abstract submission. However, the final decision on the presentation style will be made by the conference secretariat. Oral presentation and poster presentation can be given in either Japanese or English.
However, applicants for the Annual Meeting Outstanding Presentation Awards and Nano Symposium should give their presentations in English. Poster should be prepared in English.

• Oral presentation: 9 minutes followed by 3 minute-Q&A
• Poster presentation: Free discussion in the presentation time
• Nano Symposium: 7 minutes followed by 5 minute-Q&A.
  Only for following themes ：(1. Life style related diseases 2. Pain 3. Cancer 4. Immunological diseases 5. Ischemia and neuronal diseases 6. Others).
• Student Session: 10 minutes including Q&A (tentative).
  Oral presentation organized by graduate and undergraduate students.
• The conference secretariat may ask you to be a chairperson in a session of 5-6 presenters.

Annual Meeting Outstanding Presentation Awards

Candidates for this award will be chosen from oral presentations. Applicants must be under age of 36 or have 5 years of career in research in the field of pharmacology as of April 1, 2017. Up to two applications can be accepted from each laboratory.

Nano Symposium Outstanding Presentation Awards

Nano Symposium is oral presentation with longer discussion time than general oral presentation. Presentations should be any one of the following themes: 1. Life style related diseases 2. Pain 3. Cancer 4. Immunological diseases 5. Ischemia and neuronal diseases 6. Others
Those who wish to apply for Nano symposium, please select Nano Symposium - Outstanding presentation Awards entry.
Only five speakers for each theme will be accepted.
All the selected-presenters in Nano Symposium will be candidates for Outstanding Presentation Award.
The application should be no more than 2 submissions from each laboratory. The applicants must be under age of 40 (male) and 45 (female) at research of Pharmacology at the point of April 1, 2017.
Those who are not be elected for Nano Symposium can present as Oral presenters.
The final decision on the presentation style will be made by the conference secretariat.

Student Session Outstanding Presentation Awards

Those who wish to apply for Student Session, please select Student Session.
All presenters in Student Session will be candidates for Student Session Outstanding Presentation Award. The applicants can also apply for general oral presentation.

Registration confirmation

After receiving your Abstract Submission Form, a confirmation e-mail will be sent from the conference secretariat within a few business days. If you do not receive the e-mail, contact us at jps90@convention.co.jp.

Notification of abstract acceptance

Applicants will be notified via e-mail about their abstract acceptance, presentation style and presentation schedule once the program has been finalized. The e-mail will be sent in the end of January, 2017.

Program book

Participants coming from abroad should pick up a program book and a name tag on site at the front desk.
